About Daycare Adventures

At this time our primary focus is training so our “daycare” looks very different than other traditional dog daycare days while offering more benefits. We are passionate about training in the real world around people, dogs, deer, squirrels, children, bicycles, and any other distractions you may face in order to set you and your dog up for success. Leash reactivity is an incessant problem among pet dogs in our area and one we address quite often on our Daycare Adventures. Every dog we take out is taught to heel using the appropriate tool for that dog, be it a martingale, slip lead, slip chain, prong, or remote collar. We find offering structured pack walks allows us to address issues such as leash reactivity, build confidence in dogs who need it, and mentally stimulate dogs with an over stimulated mind causing them to focus and practice calm behavior and impulse control on leash.

Daycare Adventures can last anywhere from one to three hours depending on the weather, your individual dog, and holidays. Once scheduled, we handle it all! We come to your house for pick up, take them on an adventure, and drop them back off.  Some of the places we frequent are in the Hillsborough area such as, the River Walk, Occoneechee Mountain, Eno River State Park, Brumley Nature Preserve, and that’s just to name a few. Daycare Adventures are an opportunity for healthy socialization, an outlet for extra energy, and a great alternative to a full package of training if you simply need to correct leash reactivity.

Dogs who have completed our board and train program are also eligible to participate in our off leash adventure daycare!  These are less structured and geared more towards a romping, swimming, playing good time!
